May God's name in each of these 625 million breaths become a prayer - song, and may the Rishis of Yore shine with the illumined light of prana in the minds and hearts of you all with their Vedic Hymn of Hamsa, (SoHam).
When we look to the future, we see the opportunities for change, for growth, for embracing a loving heart and a smiling mind. During these 40 days of spiritual peace, we deepen our commitment and accept our practices as discovery - a tapas of peace.
Guru Brahma...Tasmai Shri Gurave Namah;
As we gather in this sanctuary, in this sacred place of beauty and peace, gather with sentiments (bhava) of respect, shraddha-faith, and joy, we reflect of the presence of Guru.
Through the living presence of Swami Veda here in Sadhaka Grama, we are inspired to return “home” to the theme of “Vasudeva”. This theme holds many gems of sadhana practiced as the Annual 40-Day Festival of Spiritual Peace.
As one would visit their long lost ancestral home that is how the pilgrimage to the sacred Sringeri Sharada Peetham felt to me—coming home to this ancient seat of the Bharati Lineage, dating back for more than 1200 years. It was a trip of a lifetime, a trip enough to savor a lifetime, this lifetime. Visiting this island of knowledge as the very source of Adi Shankaracharya’s teachings, paying obeisance to the great Guru Lineage...
When we look to the future, we look at how can we create opportunities for students to deepen their practice or to become familiar with, to be introduced to practices that they may feel that now they are ready for, now they would like to understand themselves through such unique ways of these prayers, contemplations, meditation, yoga practices, so we’re coming together with a special gathering next year.
Good evening and welcome on a cold evening. I’m sure you’ve brought your warm hearts and together such warmness will be enlightening. Welcome to those who have come from a distance – all the way from Chicago – as well as all of you, having ventured out on this cold evening to be another ember on this fire of illumination, the beauty of such a conflagration of consciousness that each and every one embraces as their own identity.
If saintly tranquility is a dream, let us awaken realizing the choice of peaceable emotions is our daily duty. When the senses no long burn with uncontrolled desires and anger, understanding reveals innate tranquility.
