This is a rotating program and will be given on the following dates.
Prepare your sacred pilgrimage to the Himalayas by spending a few days in Rishikesh at Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama (SRSG). During your stay at the SRSG ashram, you will learn the foundational methods of yoga meditation in order to get attuned to the spiritual forces, with the objective to enhance the experience of your visit of those most sacred Himalayan shrines.
Our founder, Mahamandaleshwara Swami Veda Bharati, wrote:
“In the mystic traditions of the world, particularly in India, life is regarded as a journey. A pilgrimage is merely an external projection of an inward journey. A place of pilgrimage is one where a manifestation of divinity appeared for a particular purpose, or a sage performed austerities or meditated for a long period, or gave someone a direct experience of God. It is not a myth that if a pilgrim is a true adhikarin or one who fulfils all the qualifications, he or she may be granted the rare darshana of a sage or a deity.
You will feel the energy to the degree your mind is attuned. If you cover your mind with the elements of the unsettled, the non-sacred, the mundane ,and carry your anger and impatience with you, the energy plays hide and seek, and you return without being recharged, even doubting the energy of these places.
If done earnestly the right way, a pilgrimage cleanses the mind, unburdens the heart, and gives oneself the confidence in one’s capacity to explore one’s inner world.”
