20 – 27 October 2019
This one-time special seminar will allow you to study the main characters of this great epic that is the Ramayana, along with the beautiful rendition and the gems hidden by Gurudeva Swami Rama in his unique poetic rendition of this timeless epic.
In the introduction to his book The Valmiki Ramayana Retold in Verse, Swami Rama wrote: “Valmiki was the first poet on the face of the earth; he invented poetry, composing the Ramayana in a simple Sanskrit meter. The Ramayana is called ādi-kāvya, the first epic… The Ramayana has been an immortal and inexhaustible source of inspiration to poets throughout the ages and will continue to inspire. It is often called the ratna garbha, the ocean of gems. The more deeply one dives into this epic, the more one obtains.”
