The Gems of Ancient Wisdom Series is a reflection of Swami Veda’s love expressed in simple words that manifest deep wisdom.
Our beloved Swami ji touched the lives of many. His captivating aura effortlessly drew countless numbers of those on the spiritual path who yearned for knowledge, who sought answers and comfort. Many simply wished to be in his luminous presence. “Let every person feel loved” was the message that was consistently demonstrated.
The fall workshop will be held during the month of November. Whereas the spring workshop touched on all ten subject areas of our teacher training, the fall workshop will focus on the primary practice of our tradition - meditation. Different aspects of meditation practice will be emphasized from a practical approach based on sadhana, by a group of teachers who have themselves delved deep in the practice. Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) will once again be available for those registering to the workshop.
HYMC Noida celebrated the sacred Guru Purnima with all the initiates and devotees who are connected with our center. The program started with lighting of the lamp and group chanting of the Akhanda-mandalakaram Mantra and Ganesh Stuti.

He reminded us that Swami Veda has mentioned how many different traditions like those of Tibet, Buddhism, Bhakti Yoga, Shankaracharya, Christianity and Patanjali tradition of Yoga and Meditation converged in Gurudeva, Swami Rama.
Dear AHYMSIN Family, Today you are being introduced to changes in the AHYMSIN newsletter and website. Dowlat Budhram, a vice president of the AHYMSIN Executive Committee, has taken on the responsibility of editorship for both the new newsletter and website. He was initiated by Pandit Usharbudh Arya (who later became Swami Veda Bharati) in 1971 in Guyana, and, in addition to other things, in the last 10 years was a member of a group of Swamiji’s initiates that did editing of his speeches, lectures and writing that were subsequently published over the years.
As you all are aware, we began constructing a new meditation space above the existing Meditation Hall at Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama (SRSG) in the summer of 2019. While the world was forced into a ‘pause’ in 2020 due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, including the SRSG ashram, we were still able to continue the construction work for the “New Meditation Hall”. No, we will probably not be calling this beautiful meditation space – ‘the New Meditation Hall’!
This 40-hour online workshop is designed for all HYT-TTP Students, Graduates and Mentors, as well as any current Yoga Teachers or serious practitioners. Participants will receive credit hours towards Yoga Alliance Continuing Education.
We are reminded that since this annual event began in 1983, we have accrued an abundance of wealth for every beautiful thought is worth saving. We have saved a small treasure enhancing the treasures of non-violent, beautiful, and beneficial sentiments. During the festival, we are reminded to renew the spiritual focus of our life. And with the challenges we have all experienced through the Covid-19 Pandemic, it is of utmost importance to again cultivate the soil of mind to become abundant in/with the fruits of kindness and compassion for all. What we have done together as sangha and kalyana-mitras in the past years have awakened the transforming energies of emotional purification and pure spirituality to remind us of our goal and purpose of life.
With the social distancing now in place because of Covid-19, we would like to share some online resources. There may be more of which we are unaware. You can contact us by clicking on the AHYMSIN Office contact regarding sources not mentioned or updated information.
