“This day, the day of Guru Purnima, is considered to be the holiest day for the students of life; for those that have been treading the path of light; for those aspiring to attain enlightenment in this lifetime. They remember this day and celebrate it by becoming aware the purpose of life is to attain enlightenment; the state of mind, internal state that makes one free from all pains and miseries.” – Swami Rama

Honoring Mahamadleswar Shri Swami Veda Bharati, Disciple of Swami Rama of the Himalayas, Shradhanjali (Memorial Service) and the Shodashi Bhandara (16th day celebration) are on 29th July 2015 at Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama. The bhandara is indicative that the mourning period is now over.

The background noise comes from Swamiji's oxygen concentrator device.” Please see https://vimeo.com/133511647 Please see transcript in this newsletter.

Courtesy of Puskás Kata Szidónia: "Swami Ritavan was in Hungary. We have held TTP in Budapest this weekend. It was the fourth TTP group in Hungary, with more than forty sadhakas. On Monday [29 June 2015], Swamiji delivered an open meditation program. In this program about one hundred people listened to Swamiji and meditated together. Every attendant is grateful to Swami Ritavan for his presence and teachings." To view photos of this lecture, click on Meditáció Szvámi Ritavannal 2015.06.29.

One of the last requests Swami Veda made to the sangha was:

“As you must have come to know that 177 nations approved of a United Nations International Yoga Day to be celebrated every year on 21stJune.

  • Do please organize a one-day or half-day or even a 2-hour satsang for being together for meditation, silence and yoga practice.
  • Do invite all spiritually minded yoga teachers and their students to join you.

I shall anxiously await to hear your confirmation of the above, and when it has been celebrated

  • Do send a news item

Together with some photos for our newsletter”

We are happy to report that some of you did what Swamiji asked, and we invite the readers to read these stories in this newsletter.
